Ingredients:
Cabbage shredded : 2 cups
Carrot : 1 chopped
Onion : 1 chopped
Pearl onion : 2
Coconut : 1/4 cup
Green chilly : 2
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Red chilly powder : 1/4 tsp
Mustard seed : 1/2tsp
Urad dal : 1/2tsp
Dry red chilly : 2
Salt to taste
Curry leaves
Oil : 1 tbsp
Method:
Crush coconut along with pearl onion and green chilly.Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seed, urad dal.Add Red chilly and curry leaves and fry .Now add chopped onions and saute for a minute. Add chopped carrot and shredded cabbage and mix well. cover with a lid and cook on a low flame.When they are done, Uncover and add coconut mixture .combine well and saute for 2-3 minutes .Remove from fire and serve warm with Rice.
Pass me that plate, i'll happily have this thoran just simple with a bowl of rice, delicious and my fav combo..
