Pulincurry





kumbalanga cut into small pieces -1 cup

muringakay - 2 no
green chilly -2
tarmarind - 1tsp juice


jeera - 1/4 tsp
coconut -1/2cup
thuvara parippu - 1cup
turmeric powder -1/4tsp
chilly powder -1tsp
For seasoning:-
Mustard seeds - 1/2 tsp
Red chillies(Kollamulaku) - 2 - 3 nos
Small onions(Kunjulli) - 1 - 2 nos(chopped)
Curry leaves - 1 sprig
Oil - 2 tsp
Method :
1)Pressure cook dal along with green chilly water and salt.
2)Add vegetable pieces into it along with turmeric powder and chilly powder.
3)Cook, till it is 3/4 done.
4)Add tamarind water,ground coconut with jeera and bring to boil.
5)Heat oil in a pan or a kadai.
6)Add mustard seeds and when they start to splutter, add red chillies, small onions and curry leaves.
7)Pour this seasoning into the curry. Serve with rice..
