Drumstick leaves /Muringaila Thoran


MOORINGA OLIFERA or drumstick leaves, as it is commonly known, is rich in vitamins A and D, iron and calcium.It helps in the stable functioning of the digestive system apart from strengthening the bones.Try to include them in your daily diets..




Ingredients:
Drumstick leaves : 1 bunch or I cup of leaves after removing
from the stem . 
Dal :  2 tbsp (cooked ) *
Coconut :2 tbsp (grated )
Green chilly  :1
Pearl onion :1 or 2
Turmeric Powder  :1/4 tsp
Chilly powder :1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds : 1tsp
Dry red Chilly :1
Salt as req
Urad dal : few 
Curry leaves  :2-3
Oil :1tbsp


Method :
Wash the leaves and drain well. crush coconut along with green chilly and onion.
Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seed.when crackles add urad dal dry red chilly and curry leaves.
Add Muringa ila, stir well and add turmeric powder, salt and chilly powder . cover and cook till the leaves become soft.
Add crushed coconut and dal . combine well with the leaves . 
Keep on a low flame for a minute to get dry if there is exces water.
Serve with rice  and curry .

* Dal not fully cooked, use when 3/4 is done .
