Prawns plantain /chemmen Ethakai Curry


Ingredients 
Prawns  : 250 gms
Raw plantain :1 (Small size )
kokum / kudampuli : 4small pieces
Grated Coconut : 1 cup
Green chilly :2
Pearl onion :2
Ginger : 1sp chopped
Coriander powder :1tsp
Chilly powder :1 tbsp
Turmeric powder :1 tsp
Salt to taste

For seasoning :
Coconut Oil : 1 tbsp
Pearl onion  : 2 tbsp sliced
Dry red chilly : 2
Curry leaves : few

Method :
Heat a pan and roast coconut slightly.switch off the flame  and add coriander powder and chilly powder, one green chilly and pearl onions and mix well. Grind all these to a paste.
Peel and chop plantain into small pieces..
Soak kudampuli in hot water .
Clean and devein prawns. Cook them in a clay pot adding salt and turmeric  powder.when  ¾ done,   add plantain /kaya pieces,kudampuli, chopped ginger, Green chilly and curry leaves . cover with a lid and cook .
Add  ground coconut and some water. Mix well  and boil for about 2 to 3 minutes and switch off the flame.
Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onion and sauté till golden brown.
Add red chilly and cury leaves .stir well and pour it over the curry.
