Ingredients
Mutton : 500 gms
Onion : 3 medium ( sliced )
Potato : 2 cut into cubes
Garlic chopped : 1tbsp
Ginger choppe d: 1tbsp
Vinegar : 1 tsp
Pepper powder : 2 tsp
Green chilly : 4
Garam masala powder: 1tsp
Cardomom : 3 -4
Cinnamon:1 piece
Pepper : 5
Clove : 3
Bay leaf : 1
Thin coconut milk : 2 cups
Thick coconut milk : 1 cup
Curry leaves
Salt to taste
Coconut oil : 2 tbsp
Method :
Pressure cook mutton adding vinegar, pepper powder , garam masala powder, and salt.
Heat oil in a pan Fry potato pieces and keep aside.
In the same oil fry cardomom, cinnamon, clove,Bay leaf and pepper corns lightly.
Add chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves and saute till the raw smell leaves.
Add sliced onions and saute until it becomes soft. Make sure the colour doesn't change to brown.
Now add the cooked mutton pieces along with fried potatoe pieces.
Add the thin coconut milk and let it boil for few minutes.
Once the gravy thickens add the thick coconut milk and combine well.when it starts to boil, check for salt, add few more curry leaves and remove from the fire..
Enjoy with bread or Appam.
