Ingredients :
kanivellari : 1 cup chopped into small pieces.
Green chilly : 2
Salt to taste
Coconut oil : 1 tbsp
Beaten curd : 1/2 cup
Mustard seeds : 1/2 tsp
Fresh cucumber from my veg garden :
To grind :-
Grated coconut : 1/2 cup
Jeera : 1/4 tsp
Green chilly : 1
Method :-
Grind coconut to a paste along with the ingredients listed to grind and keep aside.
Coarsely powder the mustard seeds.
Cook chopped velari along with green chillies and salt.Once the veggies are soft , add the ground coconut and bring to boil.Now add curd , adjust salt and mix everything well. Switch off the stove before it starts to boil.
Add powdered mustard powder and mix well.
Add coconut oil and few curry leaves on top of the gravy. keep it covered for some time to allow the fresh flavours to release.
Enjoy with rice !
