Vendakai / Okra Fry




Ingredients:
Okra / vendakai :250 gms
Onion : 1 ( sliced )
Green chilly : 2
Turmeric powder : 1/4 tsp
Chilly powder : 1/2 tsp
Corriander  powder : 1/2 tsp
Garam masala powder : 1/4 tsp
Salt & Oil as needed


 Method :
Wash and pat dry okra and cut them into long thin pieces.
Slit green chilly length wise.
Heat oil in a pan and add sliced onions and green chillies and fry till soft.
Now add okra and  mix well with the onions . cover and cook on a medium  flame, stirring in between.
Once the okra is cooked open the lid and add all the powders , salt and mix well.
Saute well for another 4 to 5 minutes .
Enjoy with rice !!
